How do you determine the size of my territory? Click Here to Start copy

We work with you to outline your territory.  A standard territory will contain a minimum total population of 200,000 and be limited to the legal boundaries of a particular geographic area such as county, town or zip code.  We also offer a mini-territory in some rural areas of the country.  The smaller territory shall contain a minimum total population of 50,000.

How do I obtain childcare centers and schools in my territory to offer classes?

During your three-day onsite training session, we will visit child care centers and private schools with you to demonstrate our system for securing clients.  This experience will give you the ability to obtain additional centers and schools on your own.  We also have relationships with child care providers that will help you build your local client base.

Do I need to have a teaching degree to operate a franchise?

We do not require our franchisees to have a teaching degree.  Our system provides all the training and expertise you need to successfully operate your business.  What is important is that you enjoy working with children and have good communication skills.  You must also be able and willing to learn and follow a prescribed system.  You should check with your local and state authorities to determine if they have any special requirements.

Is there a special COMPUCHILD curriculum?

Yes, we were the first franchise system to develop a STEAM (STEM + Art) curriculum.  We incorporate multiple STEAM discplines into each class.  We have an extensive scope and sequence of skills called “Emphasis Points” that have been incorporated into logical sequential units and lesson plans.  We are continually refining and updating our lesson plans to keep them current.   Your students will show progress and knowledge through our instructional methods.

What is the monthly royalty fee?

We have a fixed monthly royalty fee of $150 on gross annual sales up to $40,000.  Once your annual revenue exceeds $40,000, a 3% royalty is due on gross sales in excess of this amount.  We also offer a discounted monthly royalty fee for Program Directors operating more than one territory.

What are the start-up costs?

Our total franchise and startup fee is $17,500.  The fee includes your exclusive territory, our Confidential Operations & Policies Manual, startup supplies and equipment, and three days of on-site training.  The start-up cost for a mini-territory is $12,500 and includes the same equipment, supplies, and training.

Do you offer an benefits or perks to those who have served in the U.S. military?

COMPUCHILD's Militarly Benefit Program is available to all honorably-discharged veterans and reservists.  We will also extend this discount to their spouses.  We will offer a 20% discount on the initial franchise fee.  We also have an option to waive royalty fees should a franchisee be called up for Guard or Reserve duty.

How soon can I become a COMPUCHILD Program Director and begin operating my business?

You can be operating your business within 30 days of our acceptance of your application.  As a first step, you can complete the Request Information form to have a COMPUCHILD representative contact you.  You are also welcome to call us directly at 1-800-619-KIDS.

We have a process in place to allow you to learn about COMPUCHILD and conduct your due diligence.  Through this process, we will help you determine if you are a good fit with us.  An important step in the process is contacting existing franchisees.  We strongly encourage this step.  We will inform you when it is appropriate to begin contacting our franchisees.  This is not a first step.  We respect our franchisees time and need to ensure only pre-qualified and serious candidates contact them.  We can explain the complete process in more detail during our program review.
