Persuasive Debating

For New & Continuing Students

In the Persuasive Debating class, children will enhance their public speaking and communication skills. They will develop critical thinking by analyzing topics and creating arguments, and learn to listen respectfully to others. The class teaches effective research and information organization techniques. It also promotes teamwork and collaboration as students prepare and support each other in debates, honing their persuasive skills.

Learners will gain self-confidence and leadership skills while practicing their public speaking and debate / argumentation skills using real-world and current event topics in this class.

Continuing students will work on advanced research, critical thinking, and evaluation of sources. Through interactive sessions and personalized feedback, students will enhance their public speaking abilities and engage in constructive criticism. They will explore various forms of persuasive communication, gaining versatile skills applicable in any context.
